I'm Matej Plavac, a 21-year-old art enthusiast. I'm coming from Nova Gradiška, Croatia, but currently I spend most of my time in Zagreb since I study Geology at the Faculty of Science, University of Zagreb (PMFZG). I enjoy creating stuff and I've created this website to showcase some of my work. As art in general is the main thing that occupies my brain during the day and night, I feel like it's safe to say that you can easily get to know me through my work. In my drawings one can see some wacky surreal motifs, dark early AM symbols, a little bit of pop culture fan art and various nature inspired elements. My huge inspiration and idols are some of the 20th-century painters such as Zdislav Beksinski, Salvador Dali, Man Ray, Arkhip Kuindzhi; some contemporary artists such as Jono Dry, Miles Johnston, Tomasz Mro; some musicians and poets such as Lana Del Rey, Enya, Kesha and many others. Since photography is my side hobby, I keep having a love/hate relationship with it. But still, just in case I feel inspired, I always have my camera with me, no matter if I'm on a trip or in my backyard. All of the pictures on this website are taken with Canon 1300D DSLR and edited in Lightroom. I low-key want to explore creating digital art and other visual arts. Occasionally, I write some poetry.
